Peptide merchant account

Query focus: peptide merchant account · US / EU / Canada operators

A peptide merchant account is a dedicated merchant ID (MID) underwritten for a peptide or research-chemical catalog — bank/ISO review of products, policies, volume, and history — not a shared aggregator sub-account under Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, or similar PayFac models. Placement depends on underwriting; there is no approval guarantee.

RetryHub helps with merchant-account placement and underwriting prep; PayFresco is a separate payments + CRM / orchestration product.

Why “high-risk MID” is not the same as an aggregator account

Mainstream PayFacs underwrite at platform level and apply restricted-business rules to the whole portfolio. A dedicated MID is reviewed for your legal entity, product mix, selling regions, fulfillment, and prior processing record. That is slower and more document-heavy by design. It is also the path operators usually need when an aggregator declines, restricts, or closes the account.

Stripe FAQ nuance (not a blanket “all peptides banned”)

Stripe’s prohibited and restricted businesses FAQ states nuance for peptides: some non-prescription peptides may be allowed with limits; research peptides may be allowed with controls; products with unspecified purpose are treated as intended for human use; prescription peptides generally need pharmacy-related preapproval. Keep RUO ecommerce separate from compounding and GLP-1 shortage compounding

Research-use-only (RUO) ecommerce, 503A/503B compounding pharmacy models, and GLP-1 shortage-related compounding are different business types for underwriting and compliance. Do not blend them in one application narrative. A RUO storefront disclaimer is not the same as FDA clearance or pharmacy licensure.
